Sincerely, Sister Jarvis
Howdy everyone!!
This was kinda a nuts week. Lots of ups and downs and ice cream.
This week, Sister Rytting and I went on exchanges. It was so fun to be her companion for 24 hours. Lots of giggles. I need giggle therapy.
Two amazing miracles we saw on exchanges: We went and saw our
Brazilian family we have been teaching. (Daphne's family) We went over the beginning of the Book of Mormon- and just as we were finishing the lesson Daphne walks in!!! (I might have mauled her with a hug.) We lost contact with Daphne at the beginning of last transfer. Completely. I was so stinking happy to see her.
Then another similar experience happened. We tried to stop by some people's home in another part of our area and ran into Bastien walking around and we taught him a little bit as we were heading back to our car... I looked down the road and I saw this guy walking toward us- and it was CHANSE! Another investigator I knew really well who had vanished off the face of the planet.

Funny story: we went to the Szalajkos and we found a snake in their house. After catching the snake and we kicked it outside. We chatted with them for a bit... and went to leave.... and promptly let a lizard into their house. Oops.
We picked up a super cool new investigator named Monique this week. She was in area book and has never really had any particular denomination and on top of that.... SHE HASN'T EVER BEEN BAPTIZED! Golden investigator alert! Not to mention, she loves the same wonderfully geeky things I do. So that's a super plus. We are both composed of the same brain matter.

She has muscular dystrophy and is confined to a wheel chair, but has one of the best testimonies ever.
Coolest sweetest lady ever. I'm so sad I won't be here for when she is baptized.
Which brings me to my last and final point. My teeth have started having some issues that require surgical intervention. As a result I will probably be home within the week. It's a bit of a shock. Now, my front room is covered by my suitcases as I am trying to figure out how to fit everything together. I've never been good at Tetris. My heart is aching. But God has a plan. I don't know what his logic is in bringing me home three months early. But I know it must be important for my growth. Something interesting I have learned is that the atonement of Christ is for Change. Healing is change. Repentance is change. Comfort is a change of heart. Change is the epitome of the Atonement and part of that refining process that allows us to return to live with our Father in Heaven.
