In Which Sister Christensen Gives the Vacuum a Haircut
GUESS WHAT! GENERAL CONFERENCE IS NEXT WEEKEND!! Ahhhh! So excited!
The Women's Broadcast was amazing. I especially loved President Uctdorf’s talk.
It was very enlightening and relatable.....especially with the stalker cat.
This week our investigator, Angelica, got baptized. Let me tell you a little bit about her.
She is 11 years old. Remember that funeral that I directed music at? That was her dad.
They were very close. About 3 weeks ago she told her mom, who is a member, that she wanted
to get baptized. Well then- we got things ready in a hurry. Sister C and I ran around like
to get baptized. Well then- we got things ready in a hurry. Sister C and I ran around like
chickens trying to get all organized. It was amazing. Her Mom spoke on Baptism and
gave her first talk. It was really powerful.
This week, Elder Bravo, our District Leader, gave a challenge to carry a notebook around
and write down whenever we see the hand of God in our lives. For me, it's kind of hard
because I have this habit of being a negative thinker. I learned all of this is negativity
blocks out the important things- such as seeing what God has done for us during the day.
This challenge has also helped my negativity levels go down a lot. Which, I was honestly
surprised about.
Funny thing of the week:
We thought our vacuum broke.... Turned out it was just clogged with hair. Gross.
Two females living in the same apartment gets hair everywhere. So Sister Christensen had
to turn the vacuum over and with a pair of scissors cut out the hair while I was doing dishes.
Doing dishes is surprisingly therapeutic.
Love you all!
