Could Be Alligators in the Plumbing...
Hello again one and all! I hope everyone had a good week!
Funny stories of the week:
So, there is a Sonic right next to Wal-Mart and we were driving by- and I had a hankering for one of their Lemon Slushies (one of my minor addictions prior to serving). So, I decided to go grab one and Sister Lassen got a Blue Coconut slushie and it dyed her entire mouth BLUE! SMURF BLUE! I was rolling with laughter, because we had an appointment after! Fortunately, no one noticed.
Another slightly entertaining story; Sister Lassen came into possession of some pretty awesome nice looking, German brand dark chocolate this last week. Upon further investigation we discovered ,however, there was liquor in said chocolate. Hmmnn... fortunately we had the thought to double check before actually trying to eat any of it.
Also, we found another cockroach at 5;00 in the morning on Friday. But we called the office and they had a bug man come by and put some stuff down- and so hopefully that will be taken care of.
This week we had a wonderful lesson with Kim (today is her birthday and we are taking her cake :D). She has really been struggling with being influenced to doubt and make decisions based on some people in her social sphere. So, Sister Lassen and I shared "Our True Identity" a Mormon Message for Youth. After we shared that- a whole new light seemed to enter into her eyes and she stated, "No matter the decision I make- I am STILL BEAUTIFUL!! " THEN, OH MY GOSH- BEST PART!; Remember how Kim had a blessing because they found skin cancer on her ear? Well, Saturday she got the results of her biopsy back. IT'S NOT CANCEROUS!!!! AHHH! Then Kim said it was the blessing. AH! So good, so good. I cannot begin to describe how amazing this woman is.
Saturday another really cool thing happened. Unfortunately, Leo has fallen back into some habits and I was talking to him about it while on exchanges with Sister Hales. You could tell he had disappointed himself and he felt really bad about it. So, he laid his head down on the table and started busting out in Portuguese about why this all happened. When he was done, I stated "Leo, you're stronger than you think and you are the least lazy person I have met." Then we continued teaching him. So, this morning I was thinking about it and how I had understood every single word that he had said in Portuguese. I was floored. How did I understand all that? Then the little voice in the back of my head said, "well, duh! The Spirit!"
Haha, we missionaries get to experience way cool things.
Other things of Note:
Sister Lassen's Birthday was Sunday so on Saturday Sister Hales and I prepared to ambush her as she was coming back from exchanges.
I pulled up a tree and during service on Saturday and found a really old birds nest in it!
Sister Lassen and I found a Alligator in the villages too! WHATTT! There's Alligators in the plumbing guys.....
I love you all so much! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY! FOLLOW THE PROMPTINGS and be good humans.
Love you all!
-Sister Nat Jarvis
