La Cucaracha
(Never knew I could long for Mondays so much! Here's Natalie's letter for the week.)

ello!
I hope everyone is doing well! From all the updates I am getting it seems to me that everyone is staying mostly out if trouble! This week has been more funny than eventful. To start off with I got to see Hermana Olsen at The Zone Training Meeting (ZTM) and I got several good laughs out of it. She and I were both sunburned so there were a few jokes flying around about that. However, at ZTM (Thursday) Sister C and I both received chocolate muffins of questionable quality. Later that night, I got the worst stomach ache of my entire life. I fear that I might have become the victim of food poisoning. Although, I am not quite sure if it is food poisoning. I was out of commission for a little bit, but- by Sunday I was back to normal. I was also fed Gumbo Thursday night and that was certainly different for my taste buds. Maybe Gumbo and chocolate is just a bad combination?
So, in my ward we have a less active couple named Sister and Brother R we have been working with. It's rather difficult to get Sister R to church because Bro R is bedridden. He has Parkinson's disease and within these last two years has had a stroke. It doesn't stop him from being a character though! So, we had lunch/late dinner with them and Sister R forgot something and she said "Well, if I only had a brain". It took me every ounce of will power not to bust into the Wizard of Oz song. (That is something Sister C and I do. We'll sing random bits of songs.) We got to talk to Bro R for a bit. He lived in Puerto Rico for a year and he was talking about different Spanish dialects. He spoke about how people could tell he learned his Spanish in Cuba. I got to listen to him speak Spanish and I mentioned how I was trying to learn (retention is really the hard part for me right now as almost no one speaks Spanish in this specific area). So, prayer comes around and Bro R leans over and says, "I want you to say it... but do it in Spanish." My brain starts scrambling to gather what little religious vocabulary I know before Sister R came to my aid. So I was able to say the prayer in english.
We, also, had a cockroach! I found it in our bedroom while Sister C was still in the shower. Unsure what to do with the creature- I trapped it underneath a massive jar and waited for Sister C. Sister C decided the preferable method would be to slay the foul thing with fire, but we do not have that option- so we opted for the huge can of Raid bug spray instead. There was much squealing as we tried to move the bug outdoors. But, I sprayed it dead.
A cool thing I learned is I am pretty sure I am related to Elder and Sister Boynton. However, people and major events line up, but not dates. Someone's line is off. We're not sure whose, but we are working on it. I gave them Craner contact info so hopefully we can get this all sorted out.
This past week I have received so many delightful letters and such. I loved the one I got from Aunt Joy and the rest of the Jarvis Tribe from the Family Reunion. It Sounded like a ton of fun! I also loved Gwen's little letter. She advised me to read Alma 54:7.
(7) Yea, I would tell you these things if ye were capable of hearkening unto them; yea, I would tell you concerning that awful hell that awaits to receive such murderers as thou and thy brother have been, except ye repent and withdraw your murderous purposes, and return with your armies to your own lands.
Thanks Sis.... That gave Sister C and I the giggles.
The pictures people are sending me are great! Love you all!
